Here is an Alaska ballot for November 2024, showing the eight presidential candidates and the ability of voters to rank all of them if they wish.

@AZ,
15.15.360 (a)(1)
“In a general election, a voter may mark a ballot that requires the voter to vote for candidates in order of ranked preference by the use of numerals that are clearly spaced in one of the ovals opposite the name of the candidate that the voter desires to designate.”
@AB,
Like when the Democratic gubernatorial nominee withdraws to become the Lieutenant Governor candidate of a Republican running as an independent, so long as he changes his registration to Undeclared, and the Democratic Party chooses not to nominate a replacement?
That is sane?
JR–
HOW MANY CURRENT INSANE GOVTS IN THE USA DUE TO —
UNEQUAL BALLOT ACCESS LAWS
PLURALITY NOMINATIONS/ELECTIONS
MINORITY RULE GERRYMANDERS
PARTISAN EXECS/JUDICS
FATAL SOP VIOLATIONS
Trump, Kennedy, Terry, Sonski, Chase, Stein, West, Harris
Nuts!
J.H.–
WHO WILL DO ALL THE COMBINATIONS MATH ??? – SOME GRAD STUDENT TRYING TO GET A DOCTOR IN POLISCI ???
IE 1 T0 8 LEGAL VOTES — PLUS ALL THE ILLEGAL VOTES
ANY RCV VOTE WITH 9 OR MORE CHOICES SO FAR ???
This shows why ranked choice is a terrible idea. Too complicated, too complicated to count, too easy to manipulate both on voting and vote counting by bad faith actors.
Chances are, like Maine, the Presidential race there will be decided on the first round.
Where RCV would really have an impact would be in the swing states, like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
LOL. Those are all easy Harris win states.
Sonski, Terry, Stein, West, Kennedy, Oliver, Trump, Harris
Trump!
No need to rank anyone. Trump is the only choice!
Radfag, correction, easy Trump win states!
I’m Trumping it up in the way that I do with my Trump White Power Skinhead KKK Crew!
All you punk ass bitch cucks need to sit peeing in silence before we rip y’all open with extreme sexual violence!
Me: “Where RCV would really have an impact would be in the swing states, like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.”
Radley: “LOL. Those are all easy Harris win states.”
Hillary thought the same. But, all she could do was blame the “deplorables.”
WZ —
ANY COLLECTION OF ONE LINER ZINGERS OF WINNERS/LOSERS ???
Radley is Robert K St0ck. Ignore him.
Ranking Kamala and the Coach #1, nobody else counts.
Klan: you’re a loser and will spend the rest of your life in and out of prison, where you will die. On your vacations (in between prison stays) you will always be broke, toothless, looking over your shoulder, stupid, ignorant, learning disabled, drunk, and did I mention a loser and a bad joke?
WZ: that was then, this is now. There are numerous factors which ensure that this election will not be a replay and will not be close.
Trolling: that’s either you, or you’re severely mentally ill, or most likely both.
Remember, the first name listed on the ballot gets 5% more of the vote because when people are unsure who to vote for they vote the first name. Experts have agreed on this.
It’s not equivalent on offices. The number of people who do this for president is negligible. For lower offices it starts to become significant.
Alaska uses ballot rotation. Richard Winger posted a link to the ballot for HD-1.
There may be a bias in ranking order on an RCV ballot.
No ballot order problems with standing count.
@Stan from Standingstan,
Why do there have to be annual elections under your proposed system?
It seems like a good consistent time increment.
@SCS,
Why not let voters stand in line once. If they want to change their vote they could go back and stand in line.
They should be able to change their vote as much as they want until the cutoff.
