Lansing — A judge dismissed a lawsuit from the Republican National Committee over Michigan’s qualified voter list on Tuesday, ruling that the GOP had failed to identify “a plausible claim” that the state’s current practices violated federal law.
The decision from Judge Jane Beckering of Michigan’s Western District came as prominent Republican political figures, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, have been criticizing Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson over the state’s voter rolls in recent days.

That’s not how I read the book. He was talking about the folks he grew up around in Ohio and his Kentucky based family – not all Appalachian White people. I’m an original cracker* descended White so I found the book interesting.
*The original crackers were America’s first cowboys. They opened up what was then the Florida frontier coming down from Georgia over 200 years ago. Today we are the White natives of the Florida Georgia Line.
The name cracker referred to the cracks of their whips as they drove their cattle.
