New York State Obtains One Month Delay to Respond to U.S. Supreme Court in Discriminatory Campaign Finance Case

The U.S. Supreme Court had asked New York to respond in Upstate Jobs Party v Kosinski, 24-503, by December 20. But the state then requested and obtained an extension until January 21, 2025. This is the case over whether the Constitution forbids the state from letting individuals donate more campaign donations to the nominee of a qualified party than to the nominee of an unqualified party.
