Connecticut Bill to Abolish Fusion

The Republican Connecticut legislators have introduced SB 333, which would abolish fusion. The sponsors are Senator Rob Sampson, and Representatives Gale Mastrofrancesco and Anne Dauphinais.

  1. Fusion is an associational right of any party. Who is to say who a party may or may not nominate?

  3. Vote should always be solely by party. The winning party can select officeholders and replace them at will. There should be no ballots and no candidates.
