  9. AZ has always been a paying subscriber of the print version of Ballot Access News. Also he always sends me sample ballot from Michigan every election year. Also he finds relevant and interesting items and forwards them to me, such as the Federal Election Commission periodic charts showing primary election dates and filing deadlines for candidates for president and congress. He really is an asset to us so I am willing to let him make comments of his choosing.

  18. Richard, your statement about refusing to moderate AZ because he is a paying subscriber reminds me of when Michael Moore joined the NRA as a life member so that he could then go and harass Charlton Heston.

  21. I thought that the Constitution Party has had ballot access in the past in West Virginia. I am about positive that they have.

  23. @Andy, The Constitution Party of West Virginia had successfully petitioned for ballot access for 2008 & 2016 president, 2016 & 2024 governor, 2010 2014 & 2018 US Senate (2018 thrown out in court over the so-called “sore-loser” law), 2010 US House, and numerous state legislative and county offices. Persistence has paid off.

  24. @Hunter’s – Only if the parties pay for their own primaries. Why should I, as an independent voter, have my extorted tax dollars used to help organizations which I don’t support with their internal operations, especially with their such abysmally low turnout? Here in West Virginia, the cost of administering a statewide election is several million dollars – funds which could better be used for projects which benefit a good many more residents.
