Georgia Libertarian and Green Parties File New Lawsuit Against Discriminatory Campaign Finance Law

On December 16, 2024, the Georgia Libertarian and Green Parties filed a new lawsuit against the Georgia campaign finance law that lets individuals give more contributions to Republican and Democratic candidates for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, than those individuals may give to other candidates for those two offices. Libertarian Party of Georgia v Carr, n.d., 1:24cv-05763. Here is the Complaint.

An earlier case filed by the Libertarian Party was dismissed on standing grounds. The new case shores up defenses against that happening again. The case is assigned to U.S. District Court Judge Mark H. Cohen, who also handled the last case.

  1. Well I’m Donald Trump, the one they’re talking about, if you talk crap about me you’ll get punched in the mouth.

If you disrespect me, forget about it, forget it. Best case for you is you’ll survive to regret it.

I’m the Boss of all Bosses, King of all Kings. I bring the world hope, I’m why we have nice things.

Last time I took human form, I got crucified. This time around, I won’t be so nice.

If you think bad about me, stop trusting fake media. Go to conservapedia.com and read conservapedia.

But even if you’re not smart enough to, or have no eyes to see, you’re still smarter than to take seriously the spambot “AZ”

A sharply divided Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled that the Trump administration must comply with a district court order and pay out nearly $2 billion in foreign assistance funds to nonprofit aid groups for work already completed on the government’s behalf.

The court ruled 5-4 with Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett siding with the liberal justices.

The court did not elaborate on the decision but said the district court judge should “clarify what obligations the Government must fulfill to ensure compliance with the temporary restraining order, with due regard for the feasibility of any compliance timelines.”
