Four Libertarian Party Candidates Win Competitive Elections for Public Offices in Oklahoma

This is from our friend Chris Powell in Oklahoma:

Four registered Libertarians were on the ballot in local elections yesterday, and all four won.

Sammy Kruckenberg received 50%, defeating two other candidates for Alva City Council, Ward 2 Seat 1.

David L. Moss received 62% to win a seat on the Deer Creek/Lamont school board.

Eric S. Catman, Sr, was one of four candidates for three Town of Maysville Board of Trustees positions, finishing first with 34.88%.

And, Roger Dale Merrill received 82% to become Mayor of Beggs, the first Libertarian mayor in Oklahoma.

Three other candidates for municipal who filed at the same time, Vanessa Hass for Town of Achille Board of Trustees, Patrick Jackson for Lehigh City Council, and Dayanna Hollis for Town of Warner Board of Trustees, were unopposed.  There are a dozen Libertarians holding public office in Oklahoma currently and six previous office holders since the party regained recognition in 2016.

  1. Congratulations to the Oklahoma Libertarian Party and its candidates for their wins!

  2. Term Limits NY, none of these races were partisan. However, at least two of these candidates prominently identified themselves as Libertarian, one being Roger Dale Merrill and the other Eric Catman. Merrill participated in a forum that was broadcast on Facebook and identified himself as Libertarian, only to have his opponent later accuse him on social media of interjecting partisanship by promoting his status as an Independent, which Merrill fired back against in part by reiterating his alignment as a Libertarian.

  3. “If it’s not partisan it really isn’t significant.”

Try telling that to Republicans who are bitching about the recent defeat of Brad Schimmel to the non-partisan Wisconsin Supreme Court.

  4. Or the demon rats who are acting like they won the super bowl because it’s their most significant victory right now. Sad!

  5. Donald Trump is making America great again
And he’s a member of the Ku Klux Klan!

  6. Honestly, the only deep dive I ever did was a muff dive. But it’s nice to have buttlickers and pissboys like this kid who can never remember his name. He’s a hoot!

  7. He’s definitely the next Andrew Miller if he keeps licking my taint this good.

  8. Joe said deep drive, not deep dive. Like driving a car straight into a deep, deep sinkhole.

  9. These were tiny, tiny, non-partisan races.
