Connecticut Ballot Access Bill Advances

On March 27 the Connecticut Joint Government & Elections Committee Passed SB 1156. It allows a minor party that had polled at least 1% of the vote for a statewide office at the last election to petition for a district office without having to file a cumbersome form reserving its name for each jurisdiction.

The vote was 13-6.

  2. No minor party polled 1% for a statewide office in Connecticut in 2024, except the Working Families Party, which nominated the Democratic Senator by fusion. We shall see in 2026.

  3. I’m the Boss of all Bosses, King of all Kings. I bring the world hope, I’m why we have nice things.
