New Mexico Governor Signs SB16, Which Allows Semi-Open Primaries — 6 Comments

  1. A great story on the legislative process playing out after several years of trying.

  2. Bad idea. Those who care enough about a political party to pick its nominees should join it by registering for it. “Independents” clearly don’t. I would keep primaries closed.

  3. Parties should pay for and administer their own nomination process and governments should stay out of it.
