Indiana Legislature Passes Bill for Party Labels for School Board Elections

On April 24, the Indiana legislature passed SB 287. It authorizes party labels to be printed on the ballot for School Board candidates, even though there will be no system for parties to nominate candidates for that office. Here is the text of the bill. It is vague about whether a candidate can list the name of an unqualified party.

  1. Another way the legacy duopoly attempts to save itself so tribal sheeple don’t even have to look at a name or bother to do basic research on a candidate; all they have to do is look for that D or R and cast a blind vote for their tribe.

  2. ANY *INDEPENDENT* SKOOOOL BOREDS ANY MORE ???

ALL CONTROLLED BY MINORITY RULE GERRYMANDER STATE LEGIS ???

School board races in the state of Illinois are nonpartisan. And that’s not the only races in the state that are nonpartisan: park boards, library boards, fire protection districts (at least those where county boards, municipalities, or townships don’t make appointments), cemetery boards. In fact, they elect our township assessors (or in my county, a multi-township assessor) in nonpartisan elections. (Of course, no one filed to run.)
