On July 4, Elon Musk first mentioned his intent to form the America Party. But as of July 15, the America Party has not filed to be a political body in California. It is very easy for a group to file as a political body. Once filed, the person who files, and who says he or she is chair of that body, controls the party name.
Here is the list of political bodies in California.
California will fall into the ocean soon. There is no need to worry about them.
