  1. Texas following Florida is partisan redistricting. Back to the gamesmanship of 60 years ago.

  2. The new map could not take effect until November allowing NO opportunity for candidates to petition to get on the primary ballot

    Florida reduces the signature requirements to qualify for office in redistricting years. That’s probably based on a lawsuit. May want to look into it if it’s a concern.

  4. In 1996, Texas threw out the results of the primaries and conducted the congressional elections as special elections in November.
