Fox News Poll Shows Support for a Third Major Party, But Down from 2010, and Not an Elon Musk-led Party

Here is the story from Fox News.

The sub-headline is amazing. Only 70% of voters think the US political system is “rigged against third parties”? Where have the other 30% been?

However, if one scrolls down the article, one will see that 61% think third parties are “desparately needed,” but also that 59% agree that third-party candidates are “mostly spoilers who distract from the important choice between the two major parties.”

Below that, there is one datum that I find interesting and heartening. 54% of respondents disagree with the statement “Third-party candidates tend to be less qualified than major party candidates.”

Overall, the results of this poll indicate to me a fair degree of confused thoughts about minor parties among the US public.

And, thanks to politicalwire.com for the heads up on this!

  1. I mainly just want to be the center of attention. What I actually want changes constantly. I’m like a two year old due to my heavy drug use.
