Alaska Prosecutes Ten American Samoa-Born Residents for Voting in Local Elections

Alaska is prosecuting ten individuals for voting in local elections in Whittier. They were born in American Samoa, so they are U.S. Nationals, not U.S. citizens. One of the indicted voters was elected to the Whittier School Board, but she had to resign. See this story.

Courts have repeatedly rejected lawsuits that would have made American Samoans U.S. citizens.

  1. Those who are not US Citizens should not vote in US Elections . When they do it’s called FRAUD.

  2. This needs to be widely publicized so more Samoan-born residents to not fall into this jeopardy.

  3. States could make US Nationals eligible to vote.

The right to vote in national elections is derivative of the right to vote in state elections, not the other way around, no matter what Hugo Black believes (or believed).

  4. In what year did Trump become your ruler? How many more decades do you think he will be in power? Which of his sons do you think is the most likely to succeed him? What does he typically like to do with those who are disloyal or disparaging him – public execution? Quietly disappearing? Whipping? Mutilation? Harvesting their organs without anaesthesia while they are still alive? Long prison sentences? Exile? Are women who do not praise him sufficiently typically gang raped by order of the court?

  5. Samoa is not a US territory you stupid fuck. American Samoa is completely different.
