Democratic Party Will Keep Autopsy on 2024 Election Secret

In July of this year, the Democratic Party announced that it had chosen Paul Rivera, a New York political consultant, to prepare a report on why the party lost the 2024 presidential election. On December 18, the Democratic National Chairman, Ken Martin, said that the report has been completed, but it would not be released publicly.

It had been hoped that the Rivera report would say the Democratic Party made a mistake when it attacked the ballot access of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. The relentless attacks caused Kennedy to drop out of the race and endorse Donald Trump. But whether that point got into the report or not is a mystery.

  11. Why is the right of candidates and political parties to be on the ballot limited (censored)?
    The U.S. Supreme Court has established in multiple cases that the federal constitution does not recognize a fundamental right to candidacy, and that state governments have a legitimate government interest in blocking (censoring) “frivolous or fraudulent candidacies”. How deferential to those who appointed them to the Court. The ballot is an exception to the First Amendment.
    Who decides a candidate is frivolous or fraudulent? Incumbent partisan legislators who cannot possibly have a conflict of interest or bias against competition.
    In no way are voters allowed to decide for themselves who is a frivolous or fraudulent candidate. Their supreme guardians in the Democratic and Republican parties must decide for the voters which candidates are not a serious threat to incumbents of those two parties.
    Then there is the confusing voters have when faced with “too many” candidates on the ballot making it so heavy the voter can’t lift all the paper or find the name they are looking for!
    The solution is no names on the ballot. The voter finds the blank space next the office and writes in the name they want. If they need assistance, they can have it.
    The longer voters are handcuffed when voting, the easier it is for a fascist police state to emerge and entrench fascists in government.
    The absurdity of election laws makes fascism seen expedient.
