On December 18, Civic Lens Research released a California gubernatorial poll. The three leading contenders are: Steve Hilton 17.8%, Chad Bianco 13.9%, and Eric Swalwell 12.2%. See here.
Hilton and Bianco are Republicans.
A Sacramento Bee news story about this poll that is behind a pay wall says that Democratic Party leaders anticipate spending a large amount of money to simultaneously boost one of the two leading Republicans, and tear down the other one. That would presumably lessen the chances that both Republicans would place first and second. The story doesn’t say which of the two Republicans would get the boost and which one would be attacked.
I hope Eric Swalwell does not win.
I guess an infinity billion number of Democrats can run and split their vote and the Democrat Establishment is fine with that, but God forbid a single Green or other third party candidate runs, our candidate has to drop out or we’re Russian Republican fascist enablers. Such hypocrites.

Thank you for that link, Fred. I watched it with great interest. However, incompetence is not the same thing as fraud.
They never include minor party candidates like Green Party Butch Ware.
It’s fraud. You won’t talk about it because you love Democrats.
Winger has admitted in the past he supports fraud.
NOOOO extremist primaries

Don’t confuse him with facts.
Roman Salute, that article does not say anything about Biden voters per se.
And it is true that many voters who receive postal ballots proceed to fill out the ballot in front of their spouse or some other person who lives with them, or whom they associate with. When postal balloting was first proposed, there were many lawsuits alleging that postal ballots must be outlawed because they made a hash of secret voting. But all the courts who heard these lawsuits went ahead and cleared the way anyway. My barber once told me that he let his wife fill out his postal ballot for him.
But that is not “fraud”. “Fraud” is not a synonym for breaking the law.
As to people who vote in the state in which the formerly lived, there have been prosecutions of people who voted in two states in the same year. But for the most part, voters who were convicted of this turned out to be voters who had voted for Trump, not Biden.
Breaking election laws is fraudulent.
Not all postal ballots which get filled out by someone other than the person voting are filled out by someone who lives with them. Many are filled out by leftist “community organizers” and paid ballot harvesting organizations, many of which also engage in voter registration fraud. 99%+ of such activity is from the political left, and it’s extremely widespread.
Even when it’s someone living with the person it’s still vote fraud. Most often, it’s people filling out ballots for relatives/friends/roommates who don’t know or care enough to vote. This is also very common, as is a controlling person within or outside a household who wants to make sure other people in their family or community vote the way they rather than that voter want, which they may not happen if they don’t fill out that person’s ballot for them or have them fill it out under their supervision.
All these things happen frequently with mail voting. Added together, they account for far more than Biden’s tiny margin of “victory” in a tiny handful of swing states. But they are a factor in every election, for example making 2016 and 2024 seem a lot closer than they actually were.
“But that is not “fraud”. “Fraud” is not a synonym for breaking the law.”
It is when it comes to election laws.
“My barber once told me that he let his wife fill out his postal ballot for him.”
I’ve done it myself. When I was 16 I wasn’t allowed to vote but my mom was. I wanted to vote and she didn’t care, so she let me cast her absentee ballot. We were not in anything close to a swing state and the election that year wasn’t close on the national level, but that sort of thing happens a lot.
What I did almost 40 years ago was election fraud regardless of what any court says. It’s very believable that in 2020 it could have added up to change the results of the presidential election.
“As to people who vote in the state in which the formerly lived, there have been prosecutions of people who voted in two states in the same year. But for the most part, voters who were convicted of this turned out to be voters who had voted for Trump, not Biden.”
Most crimes are not prosecuted. The overwhelming majority of crimes I’ve personally committed or known other people to commit were never caught. Not only do some people vote in States other than where they now live, but some vote from multiple different addresses, on behalf of dead or fictitious people, register pets, non-citizens and children to vote and then cast their ballots, etc.
The fact that this rarely gets caught, much less prosecuted, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. It just means that most of it happens in jurisdictions where the elected officials and prosecutors are of the party that benefits from the bulk of this fraud (Democrats), in addition to being a fairly hard crime to catch and not exactly the top priority in high crime areas.
Where it matters is in heavily D jurisdictions in swing states – larger cities, state capital’s and college towns in Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, or whatever states are swing states in a given year.
Those also happen to be jurisdictions with lots of people who move around frequently, vote inconsistently, and or non citizens, those not quite old enough to vote yet, and higher than average percentage of people who lost their voting rights due to felonies etc.
The people who vote there tend to vote overwhelmingly for Democrats, but they also have higher than average percentage of population that doesn’t vote at all even though they have the right to vote, as well as higher than average percentage that are not allowed to vote due to age, felonies, non citizens etc.
That makes those areas prime for ballot harvesting.
And that swings everything up to presidential elections when they are in swing states, as well as congressional elections, statewide elections etc in many other states.
Additionally, younger and male voters in such communities are increasingly going Republican when they do vote, against the wishes of older community leaders and community organizations. So that makes them high propensity targets of mail vote harvesting fraud, particularly since they are also prone to move around a lot and often not vote at all.
