New Emerson College Poll for California Gubernatorial Election — 14 Comments

  1. The poll is unscientific and biased when they include Democrats and Republicans who are getting less than 1% of the vote, but leave out the Green (Butch Ware) who would likely poll at least 1-2% if he had been included, especially after Nina Turner’s endorsement.

  2. She has a national audience with progressives via her many appearances in popular podcasts and her previous high-profile political campaigns. Butch Ware almost certainly saw some increase in support after her endorsement, especially given the unusual nature of Top Two (the Democrats are splitting their own vote so much right now with their many candidates, that that argument can’t even be remotely applied to him now). Not likely enough to win, but certainly enough to eclipse some of the Democratic and Republican candidates that Emerson and other pollsters include simply because they’re Democrats and Republicans.

  3. I really hope that the California election for governor comes down to Republican vs Republican after the Top Two Primary. Not because I really care about or have a lot of faith in the Republican Party, but rather because I want to see Democrats throw a hissy fit over it and demand a repeal of the Top Two Primary law.

  4. Thank you, Richard Winger, for eliminating the racialist comments extolling white supremacy. Those of us who didn’t enjoy your constantly exposing us to these insults because of the color of our skin appreciate your distancing yourself from this racism. Your fellow San Franciscans were just about ready to start picketing the white home on the corner of Baker and Francisco to get the local media to pay attention to your countenance of white supremacy can relax and relent—for now.

  5. Relax and don’t worry, it’s going to be fine. The White People’s movement keeps getting bigger all the time. I’m dreaming of a White nation, just like the ones that I once knew. And now with mass deportation, my dream is starting to come true!

  6. I support Donald Trump by supporting White Power and I support White Power by supporting Donald Trump!

  7. Forever Trump, I want to have forever Trump
Do you really want Trump as President forever?
    Forever, and ever
Forever Trump, I want to have forever Trump

Do you really want Trump forever?
    Forever Trump!

  8. It won’t be two Republicans. It will probably be one Democrat, one Republican, with the Democrat winning easily. Demon rat bosses want that to help drive demon rat turnout and win a few more marginal districts.

  9. @Joshua H.,

The Emerson College poll cited doesn’t include Butch Ware or other third party and independent candidates, but it does include an entry for “other candidates” in addition to the listed Democrats and Republicans and “undecided”. Two of the listed candidates (Democrat Ian Calderon at 0.6% and Republican Jon Slavett at 0.4%) got less than the 0.9% for “other”, and all of the listed candidates had less than the 21.2% for “undecided”.

  10. The fact that there are a lot of Democrats does not mean butchware would get 1%. There are about what , 100 times as many registered Democrats as Greens in California?
