  2. Restore Britain has over 100,000 members after less than a month, but you wouldn’t know the party even exists by reading Ballot Access News unless you read the comments.

  5. Restore Britain hasn’t yet registered as a political party with the Electoral Commission, and hasn’t yet stood in an election. Until it does, it seems more of a pressure group than a real party, similar to the Communist Party in the US. The founder of Restore Britain, Rupert Lowe, is in the House of Commons but he is listed as an independent.

  6. They have over a dozen city councillors and over 100,000 members. They applied with the electoral commission and are awaiting a reply. On 20 February 2026 the Electoral Commission showed Restore’s application to form an official political party.

  7. Restore Britain applied for registration on 20 February 2026. It is not clear how long the registration process takes. There is an opportunity for public comments. Lowe has also registered the Great Yarmouth First party. Its first application was rejected as incomplete, but the second was accepted, and it appears the process was completed within a month.

    Guidance from The Electoral Commission is that prior to registration the symbol can not be used on ballot papers, but the party is free to use its name, symbol, etc. for other purposes.
