On February 24, the Arizona legislature voted down an amendment to a bill that would have let Pima County secede from Arizona and become the state of “Baja Arizona.” See this story.

The people of “Baja Arizona” already declared independence from the North on March 28, 1861 to join
the Confederate States of America. They picked the
Name first. My suggestion just “Arizona CSA”. It
looks like Pima County folks again need help from Los Angeles County. In the early part of the War between
the States, the Los Angeles County Mounted Rifles (a unit of the California State Militia) left California
to help our friends in Arizona liberate themselves from
Northern Agression. The Newmark family in Los Angeles
helped fund that entry into the war. Rabbi Newmark was
pro-CSA and the Rabbi of Congregation B’Nai Brith. During the War of Northern Agression most of the population in Los Angeles County were pro-CSA.

How many delusional folks are still replaying the horrific Civil WAR I — about 620,000 DEAD Americans on both sides — due to the various EVIL gerrymander systems in the 1860 election —
gerrymander House of Reps
gerrymander Senate
gerrymander Electoral College
The EVIL rot continues — waiting for another timebomb election — as if the 2006-2008-2010 elections were not enough warning.

I was the late William Shearer that past on to me the history of the Arizona Territory Confederate States of America.
It was he that told me Governor Dr. Lewis Sumpter Owings
never surrendered the Goverment of Arizona to the Federal Forces when they took Texas.
After that lecture in his library in Lemon Grove, CA he
stated to sing: “Owings and I don’t want no pardon
for what we was and am
We won’t be reconstructed
And I do not give a damn”.
William Shearer and his wife founded the American Independent Party in 1967.

History does repeats it self. In the Ordinance of the
People of Arizona dated 16 March 1861 it stated in part “We
will not recognize the … Republican Administration,
and we will resist any officers appointed to this Territory by said administration with whatever means in our power.”

In 1991(?), northwestern Maricopa County tried to form its own county, Red Mountain, because they were tired of sending their tax money to keep Phoenix and the rest of Maricopa County going. However, they didn’t get very far.
Mark, do you have any ancestors that fought for the Confederacy?
I sure do.
