Paul Jacob, head of Citizens in Charge, has this commentary on Flash Report, a California politics blog. The commentary makes the case against SB 448, the California bill to force everyone who circulates an initiative, referendum or recall petition to wear a large sign on his or her chest.
An extremely good commentary. Maybe the lawyers for the Libertarians can use some of the logic in here in their fight against Washington’s law.
What ???
No Crosses of David (for Jews), pink triangles (for gays), etc. ??? — as in the EVIL nazi regime of death and destruction in 1933-1945.
I think you can do it on a badge that is about 4 inches by 2 inches.
I happen to strongly agree that wearing a badge is wrong.
Using Paul Jacob is a mistake. Besides he is known for his involvement with term limits[real popular cause with legislators] he is a convicted criminal and has been involved with all sorts of unethical and illegal activities involving petition collection etc.
Stopping these badges is to important to have him screw things up!
