Sunshine News Article on Possibility of Roy Moore Being Constitution Party Presidential Nominee

The Sunshine News has this article on the possibility that Roy Moore will seek the Constitution Party’s presidential nomination. The Sunshine News, a Florida on-line news service, seems to give the Constitution Party better coverage than most news sources do. A few months ago the Sunshine News had a similar article on whether former Congressman Virgil Goode would seek the party’s presidential nomination.

  1. Most voters still don’t who this person is, plus the CP won’t have California to count in their vote totals.

  2. Looks like another opportunist like Keyes and Tancredo who will likely leave and revert back to their former affiliations after their failed attempt.

  3. so, Judge Moore is probably a natural born citizen with regards to POTUS candidate eligibility for the 2012 POTUS general election ballot in NYS as an independent nominating petition candidate (Constitution Party)

  5. I think it is good to have a candidate with Moore’s resume and following running for the CP nomination (if he does). It would gain media recognition for the party. I do, however, think that if someone does not officially join the CP that their chances of securing a nomination are slim…………..If people with Moore’s experience as a public official joined the party and ran on local or House-district levels it would benefit the party immensely.

  6. Could it be… the advent of the Moore/Goode 2012 ticket? I was kinda pulling for the Goode/Pawlenty “shake, shake, shake” licorice-flavored team.

  7. CP (most likely) prez/veep tickets:

    Goode/Moore
    Moore/Goode
    Goode/Pawlenty
    Tancredo/Moore
    Tancredo/Keyes
Cynthia McKinney/Michael Moore (Just kidding, I threw in that last one to see if you were awake. :-P)

  8. First, There’s little support for Moore for the GOP nomination, then he goes third party. Sounds familiar? Buchanan, Reform Party, 2000. Buchanan said later he never should have done it. Second, any nominee for the Constitution Party nomination has to be approved by founder Howard Phillips, who keeps the party and its candidates in his vest pocket.

  9. come on, $12.5M of Reform Party organization building FEC funds went into Bay Buchanan’s pocket book. Bother Patrick done did her good!

  10. ………. the Constitution Party nomination has to be approved by founder Howard Phillips, who keeps the party and its candidates in his vest pocket ………..

Lake: yep, like the RIP former California AIP god father! He died and the peasants revolted and the state party bolted!
