New York Qualified Parties Forced to Make Early U.S. Senate Nominations — No Comments

  1. Yes to both. Proportional representation plus allowances for fusion seems the most reasonable system to me.

  2. Richard Winger is correct. Fusion in New York has not done much good at all. Proportional representation would produce a far more representative and responsive legislature, and would eliminate any need for fusion.

  3. Fusion in NY is mainly about the maintenance of patronage fiefdoms. It think it would be much the same even in Iowa if it existed there.
