On March 27, the Missouri Supreme Court handed down an order, settling the boundaries of new State House of Representative districts. The order came down on the last day for candidates to file for the primary ballot, only a few hours before the filing deadline. The U.S. House districts are still not settled for sure. Earlier this year, a bill in the legislature to postpone the primary filing deadline a month failed to make substantial headway, although technically it could still pass.
The Supreme Court upheld a lower court decision affirming the districts passed by the legislature.
It is not like the districts were changed at the last minute.

I spent $35. and won the Missouri state presidential primary for the Libertarian Party, was able to promote the Libertarian Party’s philosophy of the non-initiation of force, smaller government and more liberty.
I hope to speak at the Libertarian Party’s national convention for a few minutes to explain how my name was able to win with 52.7%.
Hon Gary Johnson was on the Missouri ballot too as a R, had spend more than $150,000. and yet he could barely reach 2/10ths of 1% of the total votes.
I hope that by the May convention my team will pull together and help advocate for the reform of the political system, and elect the first woman as president. A truly revolutionary idea, and probably part of the reason why my name won 52.7% in the Missouri primary since the story in the Missourian revealed my plan to be vice president on a woman’s ticket.

Yet another reason to have a constitutional law section regarding having ALL election related stuff be fixed x days before each election — to END the last second machinations.
With at-large elections using pure proportional representation (PR), the USA Parliament helps organize the twelve population balanced super-states every ten years, to keep the populations proportional.
In 2000, three of the 50 states were moved to different super-states because of the consensus.

This is also done on the state level, so twelve population balanced mini-states are also created.
So instead of 58 counties in California, there are twelve population balanced mini-states. It takes 24 counties in northern California to be population balanced with San Diego County’s population for example.
