Jill Stein is Only Petitioning Presidential Candidate to Qualify in North Dakota

The only independent presidential petition submitted in North Dakota this year is the Jill Stein petition, and the Secretary of State has already determined that it is a valid petition. She will have the ballot label “Green”. This is the first time the Green Party presidential nominee has been on the ballot in North Dakota since 2000.

Qualified parties in North Dakota are the Democratic, Republican, Constitution, and Libertarian Parties. Therefore five presidential nominees will be on the ballot.

It appears that Stein will be on the ballot in 36, 37, 38, or 39 jurisdictions. Still undetermined for her are Alabama, Nebraska, and Vermont. She will definitely not be on in twelve jurisdictions: Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

  1. She’s doing very well considering Roseanne is running against her. Now I believe it’s more of a stunt than anything else on Roseanne’s party. Of the 12 states, I wasn’t surpised about Ga, Ind, NC, SD, and Okla. (However, there is a strong write-in base in Indiana) I was surpised by some others like NH, still the GP is doing better than the Constitution Party.

  3. Open Up The Debates!

The private debate commission should not be allowed to exclude the only two candidates that have accepted Federal Election Commission matching funds, are on the ballot in enough states that they could possibly win the Electorial College and are on the ballot in over half the states.

This is not a spoiler issue! Gary Johnson and Jill Stein are well matched. The issue is if you will be allowed to hear them in the debates.

Would make for a more interesting debate.

Please let your friends know about the petition linked from the website.

“I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.” – Voltaire – and I’d add, your right to be heard, or your voice might as well have been silent.

  4. “She will definitely not be on in…”

Only 3 of these are “definite”. The others have court decisions or alternative means pending. I anticipate her being on in more than 40 states.
