This Daily News column by Elizabeth Benjamin, dated March 31, reveals that the Working Families Party of New York state is angry with Democrats in the New York State Senate. The article quotes the WFP state chair as saying that on some issues, Republicans in that body are more helpful.
Here’s a blasphemous idea for the WFP: try finally to use NY’s fusion law to fuse with the Greens.
The NY WFP leadership are just cranky because they think the Democrats should be nicer to them, because they’ve always devotedly lackeyed for the Dems!
But, why the main DP would give this minor clique of wanna-be DP bosses the time of day is beyond me. The WFP are just a bunch of Democrats who want to use a different title; thinking that alone will make them a better deal for voters!
If the WFP weren’t dedicated Democrats, they would have stood Tasini or someone in the general against Clinton in the senatorial race this last time.
