The U.S. Census Bureau says that 1,135 of the nation’s 3,143 counties now have more deaths than births, and are losing population. Some rural counties have no hospitals and thus no births are reported.

So, how long has this been going on? If what you’re saying is true and has been true for generations, there must be rural counties with no people at all in them.
