On July 8, the Kansas Secretary of State listed the Reform Party candidates on his web page, including the party’s choice for president, Chuck Baldwin. The Kansas Reform Party had nominated Baldwin last month, but at first the Kansas Secretary of State had some hesitation about letting the Reform Party nominate a national ticket that had been nominated by another party (the Constitution Party). The web page listing seems to indicate that the Secretary of State now accepts the party’s choice of a presidential candidate.
The Constitution Party is not ballot-qualified in Kansas. The Kansas Reform nomination will save the Constitution Party the cost of doing an independent presidential petition in Kansas. In 2004, the Kansas Reform Party had nominated Ralph Nader for president.

Good news for Baldwin/the CP, bad news for the RP if they decide to nominate their own Pres. candidate.
Well Alex, with a half dozen ballot qualified state, the so called reform movement is not even a major minor component of P2008.
I do not know what to tell you ’bout Kansas. Anti Evolution/ Pro Creationist but pro stem cell research, small government but Pro Agricultural price supports, Bible thumping but the only state in the so called union with out a minimum age on female marriage partners.
If Baldwin gets lots of votes in the Sunflower state, then it might insure another ‘visit to the well’ for Kansas reformers in 2010 and 2012. Hmmmmmm
Reform Party has 2 ballot qualified state parties, if you exclude the nominal alliance with Independence Party of America.
Baldwin is a good match for Reform in Kansas.
It may prove to be same case for Independent Greens of Virginia.

And the continued and repeated (2000, 2004, 2008)arrogance of the Ralph Nader team to the very people who have helped them get on the ballot in the past.
The Kansas Reform Party goes against the Reform Party principles that Ross Perot ran on when he founded the party. This group of right wingers on the political fringe should not have the ‘Reform’ name.
The Kansas Reform Party should affiliate with the CP. As for changing its name that is up to the state laws if that is allowed.

But he is basically past ‘shelf date’ [tho no more than Insane McCain!] and his staff drives off good hearted [and locally knowledgable] volunteers on a whole sale basis. Telling that most Naders Raiders do NOT sign up for a second round of abuse, er, ah, tour!
Sad, sad, sad, given the other opinions, with all his [many] faults, Uncle Ralph is probably the most quality candidate. Sad to say!

Actually, “the jury is still out” in California. It could be either Chuck Baldwin or Alan Keyes.
In addition, “End the Empire” is incorrect about the presumptive nominees of the two larger parties. I am not going to get into the negativity thing; you have not even give Senators McCain and Obama a chance yet. I will say that there have been some choices in recent history (since 1960) that have been very poor. For the Democrats: Lyndon Johnson in 1964 and Hubert Humphrey in 1968. For the Republicans: Richard Nixon in 1960, 1968, and 1972; and George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004.

The Ed Noonan ticket will be printed by the most populated state in the current union. The court action will not occur until after the November election or too close to the election to have the ballots reprinted!
