Ohio Constitution Party Submits Presidential Petition

On July 14, the Ohio Constitution Party submitted almost 12,000 signatures to place Chuck Baldwin on the November ballot as an independent presidential candidate. He is the first independent presidential petition to submit a petition in Ohio this year. The state requires 5,000 signatures, but Ohio voter registration records are so poorly maintained, no one is safe unless they turn in double the requirement.

  1. No kidding.

    I’m still listed as being registered at an address that I haven’t lived at for over a year. When I re-registered at my current address, I made sure to fill out the part of the form that asked for my previous registration address (so that they could remove my previous registration from the books).
