Attorneys for the North Carolina Libertarian and Green Parties have just received the transcript of the May 2008 trial in the ballot access lawsuit called Libertarian Party of North Carolina v State Board of Elections. The transcript is a necessary part of the appeal to the State Court of Appeals. It is 457 pages long, which is not surprising since the trial had taken testimony from witnesses for almost seven hours.
The state of North Carolina charges for these transcripts. LPNC paid almost $2000 for a pdf of it (hard copy is more!). We absolutely had to have it in order to pursue our appeal 🙂
