All Five Ballot-Listed Gubernatorial Candidates in Massachusetts Debate Each Other — 2 Comments
Couldn’t help but notice how they separated the candidates. The Democratic and Republican candidates sat at a table together, and the 3 Independent candidates sat at another table. Sort of a “political segregation” as though the Independents had leprosy.
Probably Charlie Baker and Scott Lively got the most from this debate – albeit each from a different segment of the voters. Baker may have added to the points he needs to win, and Lively won a few more votes from conservative Christians who may give him more votes in the General Election than the other Independent candidates.
At least all the candidates got to present their views and it is a shame serious 3rd party and Independent candidates are left out of most other debates.
MONTEREY CALIFORNIA USA – A national “Unity Coalition” of thirty-five State and Federal political candidates organized under the unifying all party (and independents) voting system of pure American proportional representation (PR) is working for the common good of all USA residents.
The Unity Coalition is headed up by anti-corruption candidate Prime Minister Ron Gold [Republican] for California State Attorney General and tax fighter candidate Greg Conlon [Republican] for California State Treasurer.
The United Coalition has a plan; Call on Republican, Democratic and independent voters to support the three independent Congressional candidates in California districts 5, 20 and 28 (Napa, Monterey and Los Angeles).
In exchange for the support, we also ask those same categories of Republican, Democratic and independent voters, to support the Unity Coalition candidates in their own districts both inside and outside of California.
The list of the United Coalition candidates is as follows (29 CA, 2 CO, 1 NY & 3 RI):
The United Coalition has elected five planks on a
Unity Platform, the rankings of items are dynamic and subject to change daily through a “Vote of Confidence”.
1 End all corruption in the State of California.
2 Advocate for legislation that will improve tax revenue by decreasing both individual and corporate tax rates.
3 Online Voting via any Internet device — to increase voter participation.
4 Improved utilization of internet and technology for interactive citizen-government relationship at all levels of government and
community.
5 Comprehensive tax reform upon further analysis with the goal of lessening the tax burden on middle and lower earners, removing loopholes for corporations in order to spread the tax burden, and potentially lessen the overall taxes on both corporations and individuals.
