In Great Britain, the leader of any national political party automatically becomes that party’s nominee for Prime Minister. The Labour Party is a dues-paying membership organization and it lets its dues-paying members vote for party leader. However, it is very easy to become a dues-paying member, and the dues are only 3 pounds. After some individuals who publicly said they do not support the Labour Party but they intended to join anyway so as to vote for Labour party leader, the party began an attempt to remove such persons from the rolls.
