According to this news story, Pennsylvania officials will ask the Third Circuit to reverse the decision of July 24 that struck down the unique Pennsylvania system that puts minor parties in financial jeopardy if they submit petitions that don’t have enough valid signatures. I think Gov Wolf will have to be made to own all of that decision. It’s the exact opposite of democracy. It’s profoundly mean, unfair, and unjustified.
Now is the time to consider a documentary on the whole thing.
The two-party system does reveal its evil orientation at times. It’s about thoroughly managing, neutralizing real political opposition.
I recently learned that there is a documentary about independent candidates, petitioning, etc.

100 Signatures is a great film. But it is mostly about New Jersey, where the petition requirements are very small. As the title of the film says, independent candidates for US House only need 100 valid signatures.

The Attorney General of Pennsylvania, Kathleen Kane, is a Democrat. She probably asked the Governor, who is also a Democrat, for advice, but technically it was her decision. She is elected by the voters.
I would think Kathleen Kane acted on her own, as she is embattled in a political scandal. Governor Wolf has asked her to resign.
What is the estimated cost to verify each petition signature — esp. in regimes having computerized voter singatures ???

Another reason why voters are sick and tired of professional politicians. They don’t know how to take “NO” for an answer! Sadly, their professional politician “friends” on the Courts will most likely give them the answer they want.
