North Carolina Legislature Barely Passes Bill for March 15 Primaries

On September 24, both houses of the North Carolina legislature passed HB 373. However, it only passed by 52-49 in the House. It moves the presidential primary from February to March 15. It moves the primary for other office from May to March 15. UPDATE: see this story.

  1. Regarding the bill rider: I do not see how having a legislative caucus raise and distribute campaign funds, can pass the smell test. Do they use state paid staff or government provided office space? What are they thinking? Are they thinking?
