Canada election officials will print “ZNone of the Above” on the ballot in an upcoming provincial election in Ontario. See this story. An individual, who is running, had changed his name so that will be printed. Because candidates go on the ballot in alphabetical order, the “z” guarantees that he will be at the bottom of the list, which of course he desires.
After all, if Znone weren’t at the bottom, he wouldn’t be explicitly eliminating all his competition! :]
I wonder it will appear as:
Znoneofthe, Above
I’d probably think that he was an immigrant from Africa.
And he would be above Gad Zooks, and US Representatives:
Zollicoffer, Felix Kirk
Zorinsky, Edward
Zschau, Edwin Van Wyck
Zwach, John Matthew
“Aardvarck, Aaron” would have gotten him 1st listing – a more advantageous ballot position.
