Maine Senator Justin Alfond (D-Portland) has introduced LD 1673, to provide for presidential primaries for ballot-qualified parties. The bill has already had a hearing in the Joint Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee. The presidential primaries would be in March. Thanks to Thomas MacMillan for this news.
