Three Parties Win Seats in Manitoba Legislative Election — 2 Comments

  1. This is the first election in a century in which a party received a majority of the popular vote.

The Manitoba Party became a registered party on March 24, 26 days before the election. To be a registered party, a party must endorse at least five candidates. It appears that the primary advantage of registration is financial.

Manitoba does not permit the use of the word “Independent” in registered party names.

  2. Canada has the ANTI-Democracy minority rule gerrymander infection carried over from England / U.K.

1/2 or less votes (esp. in Canada) x 1/2 rigged pack/crack gerrymander districts = 1/4 or less (esp. in Canada) CONTROL — with tyrant prime/1st ministers.

    P.R. and nonpartisan App.V.
