Australia held a parliamentary election on July 2. It appears no party won a majority in the House, although this is not yet certain, because the votes are still being counted. See this wikipedia article about the election.

And I learned a new word. I did not know that Richard Winger is a psephologist.
It is now fairly clear that the center-right coalition (Liberal, National, Liberal National Party, Country Liberal Party) did win a majority, probably of 76-77 House seats out of 150. It is also clear that no party has or will approach a majority in the Senate.
