San Francisco Voters Will Decide Whether to Let Non-Citizens Vote in School Board Elections

The November 2016 ballot in San Francisco will include a proposed charter amendment on voter qualifications. The amendment would let non-citizens who are parents or guardians of children in the public schools cast votes in School Board elections. See this story.

  1. How soon before ALL citizens of the world are voting in the People’s Republic of CA for candidates and ballot questions — Russia, China, N. Korea, Iran, ISIS, etc. etc. ???

  2. Back when the SF school board was unelected and there was a proposal for an elected board, the League of Women Voters argued that appointed boards were essential to democracy.
