The American Shopping Party slipped its papers under the door after 4:30 p.m. on the deadline day. The office was already locked. The filing is not being accepted. It is thought that the party nominated its founder, John (Raghu) Giuffre, for president.

  1. Huh, I heard that they might nominate McMullin. Talking about him, do you know until when does Better for America have time to put him on the ballot in New Mexico? I mean, in late august they said they were going to stop pursuing Ballot access saying it was simply too late.

  2. I think their August announcement just said they wouldn’t launch any more petitions. It didn’t say they wouldn’t use their Arkansas and New Mexico ballot access. I don’t know what the NM deadline is for a qualified party to send in its presidential elector candidates.
