New Hampshire Union Leader Endorses Gary Johnson — 6 Comments

  1. I’m starting to think that many who vote for Johnson would otherwise be voting *against* Trump by voting for Hillary. So my current thinking is this:

Historically, the LP candidate takes away votes from the Republican. In this election, all the pundits are saying Johnson takes away from both candidates equally (or close). I had been skeptical of this, but I’m coming around … and now I’m actually going a bit further to say that in my wild guess opinion, Johnson will take away more votes from Clinton than Trump. Or Johnson could get the normal 1% and third party votes are just noise. 😉

  2. It has never been true that people who vote Libertarian would be substantially more likely to vote Republican than Democratic if the Libertarian were not on the ballot. There is little objective evidence, but the objective evidence that exists shows the opposite of the common belief.

One piece of evidence was the 2000 California blanket presidential primary, in which all voters were allowed to vote for any presidential candidate, and election officials kept track of how members of each party voted. Harry Browne got three-tenths of 1% of the registered Democrats, but only two-tenths of the registered Republicans.

  3. Just wondering. When was the last time the Union Leader didn’t endorse a Republican for president for the November election?

  4. What about the 1992 Perot math ??? — now a bit obsolete.

How about the various lower party hack offices with less POWER — third party votes vs Donkey/Elephant votes ???

ANY attempts even by the Clinton/Trump MONSTERS and their gangs to wipe out the secret ballot ???

How many New Age voters are LYING to the moron pollsters — to deliberately confuse polling results ???
i.e. ANY disclosure of support may get one PURGED.

MORE, LESS, SAME control freak government stuff in every election.
