So they don’t want voters to vote for Jill Stein or the Socialist party USA candidate.Communist party is a spinoff of the old Socialist party that ran Norman Thomas and Eugene V Debbs .The Socialist Workers Party split away from the Communist party somewhere back In the 1930s.Gus Hall was their Presidential candidate in a few Presidential Elections .Someone was the nominee in 68.The true Communist party is the Revolutionary Communist party.
Who was the Communist party Presidential nominee in 68 .was that person’s first name was Jarvis .I can see why they didn’t back Hubert Humphrey George McGovern Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale .They did support Mark Green for the Us Senate in New York when he was the Democratic nominee.Grorge McGovern and Walter Mondale were big jokes and losers .
Michael Harrington a former Socialist party member supported George McGovern.George McGovern position on abortion wasn’t to popular among Liberals who supported legalizing abortion rights . Sargent Shriver George McGovern running mate was a hard core pro lifer.The voter turnout in 1972 was at an all time low .In 84 the voter turnout wasn’t so great either.
To bad there wasn’t a strong third party or independent Presidential campaign in 84.That would made the race more interesting.The Communist party did run Gus Hall that year for president and Angela Davis for Vice president.so if anyone else has any more history lessons about the Communist party please post it .Let have a real discussion.If you support the Communist party or was a former Communist party member please join in

Correct. Before 1989 CPUSA was avowedly Stalinist and in any case took orders from the USSR. Starting in 1992 they haven’t done anything at all except to endorse the Democratic candidate for President.

The old Communist workers party could have politically developed .The Communist party Marxist Leninist could have lasted longer .The Revolutionary Communist party supports armed rebellion and rioting .They are open and honest about it .The old Socialist party split in 1972.One faction supported Peter wright the people’s party Presidential Candidate.The other faction led by Michael Harrington supported George McGovern.A other faction supported Henry Jackson and his policy on Vietnam .Henry Jackson strongly supported the Vietnam war despite opposition by many in Washington state.Socail Democrats USA a conservative faction of Socialist supported Senator Henry Jackson .By the way Social Democrats USA supported the Contras in Nicaragua to .
What a shock. The CPUSA has been supporting Democrats since 1936. Even when they have actually run a candidate for President it’s always a ‘propagandist token campaign” , If you go back to 1936 and 1940 ,they received less votes than they had members.
A Communist party supporting Candidates for what they despise capitalism.In the 50s its was the bad years for the Communist party.They were banned and had to go underground.
CPUSA was so widely infiltrated during Cointelpro that a number of notable academics have remarked it might as well be an FBI Front Operation.
During his Presidential runs Gus Hall was noted for proclaiming on stump speeches “We must stop Fascism at all cost”. This was recognized as Code Language to Faithful signalling them “it’s OK to vote for the Democrat”.
I don’t understand why they don’t put up a token presidential candidate though. As it stands now,they’re useless.

The Communist Party USA have in the past 30 years become more pragmatic in their politics. Their longtime secretary Gus Hall in the ’80s when they stopped running presidential tickets told supporters at their national convention to vote for the Democrat if they had desires for more left-wing policies to be enacted. He looked at it more to stop Republicans like Reagan being elected than any real love for the Democrat.
