On Friday, August 18, attorneys for the government of Texas asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overrule the recent decision of a 3-judge U.S. District Court that the state must redraw some of its U.S. House district boundaries. Thanks to Rick Hasen for this news.
ALL GERRYMANDERS — ALL THE TIME —
1/2 OR LESS VOTES X 1/2 GERRYMANDER AREAS =
1/4 OR LESS CONTROL = OLIGARCHY.
—
Since the English House of Commons in the 1200s — a mere 700 plus years of minority rule Anglo-American oligarchy regimes.
Much worse extremist primary math — esp. in areas like Texas.
