On April 24, Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin vetoed HB 3053. The bill would have repealed the law that makes it a criminal offense for a voter to show his or her voted ballot to anyone. See this story.

Frankly, I consider this a worse reason for vetoing a bill than when she vetoed the bill that would have allowed state knife laws to preempt city knife laws because “no one is talking about knife rights.” Focusing on the same old and weak arguments in order to keep this oppressive law on the books isn’t helping matters.
