New York Times Says California Centrists Should Organize a New Party — 2 Comments

  1. First, supporters of ‘top two’ said that one result of its adoption would be the election of more moderate/centrist candidates. But that has not really happened. So why would a centrist party succeed – its candidates would most likely not make it the general election.

Two, a ‘Centrist’ Party assumes that people who are in the middle agree on the issues. A voter could hold in general moderate political beliefs but on any particular issue not agree with another voter who is also politically moderate overall.

  2. A-N-Y EDITORIAL BOARDS HEARD ABOUT PR (AROUND SINCE 1840S) AND APPV (AROUND SINCE 1970S) ???

The march to 100 percent monarchy-tyranny continues

    — due in part to the MORONS in lots of those editorial boards (esp in text media – with fewer and fewer text readers)

    — who are totally brain dead ignorant about *REAL* election reforms to save Democracy.
