  1. The citizens of each state would be able to write their own constitution. This would be a prime opportunity to explore other electoral systems.

  2. What about the California secession petition? That’s the one that many want to see put on the ballot.

  3. From south to north they could be named: Alta California, Mas Alta California, and Altissima California. 😉

goodby and good riddance to the People’s Communist Republic of CA ??? —

2 less communists in the USA Senate and about 35-40 less communists in the USA H Reps. ???

  5. @DR,

The US Constitution says that all that is required is legislative permission. Congress would recognize the desire to form new states, and provide for accession to the Union subject to the People creating constitutions, approving those constitutions, and submitting them to Congress. The California legislature could organize the constitutional conventions, or if they fail to do so, the People can simply call their own. If all three new states are created, the existing California would cease to exist. Otherwise the remnant area would continue as California. Lawyers should be happy for all the employment.

    See my 2nd comment.

ZERO chance that Trump will approve having added NET Donkey regimes — such as 2 Donkeys Plus 1 Elephant.

The *modern* added State ROT goes back to Civil War and post Civil War Elephant gerrymander creation of many small States west of Miss. River.

  7. It is my concern this will prevent the State of Jefferson.
The American Independent Party supports the State of
Jefferson, thereby this three state plan should be rejected by all that support the State of Jefferson.
