DATA – FEC, Fed Elections 2016, p.42
This senate poll really goes to show that as the left continues to head even further off the deep end, independent and minor party candidates play a key roll in giving embarrassed Democrat voters someone else to vote for. I am certain that we will be seeing more and more results like this.
PS: I don’t really see how write-ins with only one vote should be on your list, Demo. Somebody who’s only vote was from themself? They couldn’t even get a relative to vote for them?
Jeff, the Democratic Party is not the same as the left, nor do I even consider them left. They seem quite content to be moderate liberals and centrists. This is a poll in Utah. Much like Wyoming, statewide Democrats will not do good, period, progressive or centrist. The left isn’t going anywhere, just mobilizing in a separate place than the Democrats.

I am only the messenger of the data — with NO known relatives in Utahland.
The 2016 FEC data was delayed about 6 months more than usual due in part to the many ego freak write-in candidates.
@Jeff: Some of those write-in candidates were from out of state. I just looked up Sheila (Samm) Tittle and found that she is from Virginia, so if she got one write-in vote in Utah, it wasn’t her voting for herself.
@Joshua, RE “…she is from Virginia, so if she got one write-in vote in Utah, it wasn’t her voting for herself.” Don’t be so sure. With the amount of election mischief in this country coupled with early voting, it is entirely possible. But thanks anyway for looking these up.
