  1. I’m surprised that’s an elected office. In most states, at least as I understand it, the Insurance Commissioner is appointed by the governor. Richard, in how many states is it an elected office? Thanks.

  2. One more minority rule (ie OLIGARCH) winner coming in Nov ???

ALL elected exec/judic offices — NONPARTISAN AppV – pending Condorcet

  3. California didn’t elect its Insurance Commissioner in the past, but an initiative in 1988 made it an elected partisan position.

  4. When Poizner previously held this office he was a Republican. Is it know why he left Republican Party to become an independent? or his he still really a Republican camoflauged as an “independent” in order to have a better chance at election?

  5. Where is the voter petition for PR and AppV in CA ???

    — by ALL the minor parties, independents, Elephants and even non-communist Donkeys (if any)

    — merely to save Western Civilization.

  6. I think Poizner is running as an independent because he thinks he is more likely to win than if he ran as a Republican.

  7. I think Poizner has also indicated that he doesn’t believe Insurance Commissioner should be a partisan position.

If the current SOS were competent and not a political hack who was term limited out of the legislature, we could check when Poizner changed his registration.

  8. Demi Rep, the United Coalition USA has been building our team while using parliamentary procedures under pure proportional representation for more than twenty-three consecutive years.

We have quite a team, trying to bring the team executive elections to be self sustaining and in a perpetual monthly, and annual cycle.

With regard to petition for AppV, no way. We are opposed to all single winner districts and all voting except Hagnebach-Bischoff method.

We are in process of launching a new Elector list of 55 names in California and possibly national, a system exactly like the 10th USA Parliament.

To those means our international partisans, One, Green and Geolibertarian Parties, are fully embraced with the idea if a sort of private voting system being used as a proportional electoral college for a team of cooperative candidates for US President.
