Bill Weld and Rocky De La Fuente both complied with the Alabama election law, to gain a place on the 2020 Republican presidential primary. They both submitted 500 valid signatures, and paid the $15,000 filing fee set by the party. Nevertheless, their spot on the ballot is being challenged on the basis that they have both been members of other parties in the past. Weld was a Libertarian in 2016, and De La Fuente was a Democrat. The State Republican Party Executive Committee is holding a meeting on Sunday, December 8, to consider the challenge.
Of course, President Donald Trump has in the past been a member of other parties also. He was a member of the Independence Party in 2000. And he was a registered Democrat some years ago. UPDATE: De La Fuente spoke to the Republican Executive Committee in person, and the Committee then voted to keep him on their ballot. No news has reached me about Weld.
Trump was a democrat until 1987, then again 2001-2009.

He was also a member of the Reform party 1999-2001 and briefly ran for it’s presidential nomination. Therefore dismissing Trump based on party loyalty makes more sense than Weld or De La Fuente
“more sense” – How so? Regardless of whether it is right or wrong to remove anyone from the ballot, Weld and De La Fuente have been members of other parties much more recently than Trump. In fact, De La Fuente has run at least four campaigns for four different parties in the past four years, including the Reform Party and the American Delta Party, whatever that is.
It makes more sense because Trump clearly changes parties often. He’s been the member of 3 parties + been and independent. Just because he’s the incumbent doesn’t mean he’s anymore loyal to the party. I guarantee you if there was enough resistance in Republican party he would switch right over to anywhere else if he thought he could still get reelected.
“He’s been the member of 3 parties + been and independent.” – I’ve already stated that De La Fuente has been a member of 4 parties in a much shorter period of time than Trump. Your statement is not logically sound. It does not make more sense to exclude Trump. It makes less sense.
Regardless, it’s hypocritical to include Weld, who was only a non Republican briefly.

One-party System Stoopped in Oklahoma

We had a small victory with the Oklahoma State L.P. when they conducted a vote something to the effect of “Should non-Libertarians be able to vote at State OK convention”.
Originally they used a ranked choice voting online system of Opavote, and elected a choice “no, outsiders cannot vote” and there was a close to 55% to 45% yes/no vote at which time I informed them they used a one-party system where one side got everything and the side got nothing.
Then I noticed that the released results announced totals under plurality (a two-party system) instead of the one-party system.
It seems like they may have chosen the results under a voting system using plurality voting using “Xs” (two-party system) instead of under ranked choice voting in single-winner district (one-party system).
So this was a small step forward, avoiding the one-party voting system and using the two-party system.
Our team has been blocked by Google’s work in 1995 when Google launched off our back, it is a great day to see the one-party system that the California State LP and Los Angeles County L.P. convention both used by blocking our team.
The California Libertarian Party has been blocking pure proportional representation for more than twenty-four consecutive years and it’s very difficult to find victories.
Instead, the one-party system has been adopted in SF, Oakland and Maine elections, also with the California and Los Angeles County L.P., even though were bringing the correct math they didn’t us it and brought the one-party system to all those elections.
Men, we need to do more, the all-male candidate slates are doing everything possible to make sure women don’t have voting power in the Libertarian Party Presidential Electoral College in 2020 while the United Coalition USA wants to bring the three-party system in 2020, and we’re being blocked on the California State LP Facebook page by those men.

The male-dominated Libertarian Party bosses don’t want anyone to know that and have been snuffing out women’s voices like Miss Joy Waymire (RIP) for POTUS in 2012 and the Johnson/Weld 2016 campaign brought only about 18% female Electors.
The current leadership is using approval voting in single-winner districts and multiple-winner election districts and the Approval Voting Party can only bring males, they being unable to rank our opposite gender ahead of our own and consecutively ranked alternating genders thereafter with voluntary opt-in, because approval voting uses Xs and not numerals.
The new One Party, is female-led, but she is a Canadian citizen, not running for US President.
Under pure proportional representation, the threshold for electing President or Vice Presidential is 33.33% (plus one vote) so we need to increase female Presidential Electors because the single-winner election district “all-male power grabbers” are egomanics who only care about telling everyone how they are so much better than everyone else and that’s not the winning message because it’s demoralizing for women.

Yes, I attended the 2012 Libertarian Party national convention with Miss Joy Waymire for President.
Only male candidates for POTUS spoke and no female candidates permitted to speak.
The United Coalition USA has a better idea and it’s called equal time and equal treatment, women speak first, until the percent of female Libertarian Party Presidential Electors attain 33.33% (plus one vote) under PPR or 50% under current Libertarian Party bylaws which use approval voting.
The United Coalition USA isn’t afraid of a female majority.
