The Maryland State Board of Elections meets April 22, and is expected to consider easing ballot access rules this year for new and minor party petitions, and independent candidate petitions.

  1. They should lower the signature requirement and/or extend the deadline to a later date, that is assuming the Coronavirus lockdoen ends. If it does not end, I suppose they could do a filing fee, just so long as it is not so high as to be out of line with the petition requirement.

  2. They ought to put the LP back on and apologize for taking them off in the first place.

  3. I doubt that will happen. Also, what about the Green Party or anyone else seeking a spot on the MD ballot?
