On May 1, a New York state trial court dismissed a lawsuit against the Brooklyn (Kings County) Democratic Party. The party rules specify that all candidates for County Committe must file as “male” or “female”. See this story. Other county units of the Democratic Party in New York state don’t have such rules.
Seeing as there is no other set of genitals a human can have, this is quite silly
There are many other genders. This is discriminatory and wrong. New York is also the state trying to tell everyone they have to be democratic or republicans. Equally bad and wrong. What’s wrong with being liberal. Some of us are you know.
Sometimes babies are born with both male and female genitals, or born with ambiguous genitals.

Gender at birth is just a start point. There are at least 113 known genders and more being discovered all the time.
There may be more than 2, but some of those 113 are just snowflakes looking for attention. Either way, the only thing the government should be asking is how people would like to be addressed.
I’m not one to immediately sign off on a hard number of genders like 113, but anyone who says only 2 are completely ignoring the Intersex population, who at birth are born with an ambiguous sex set of parts.
